Why would you need motion plus?

Does it have they gay shuffle before you start running, like on the DS version? That alone made it unplayable for me.

My only complaint (thus far) lies in being forced to use the Wiimote because motion-control plays a fairly significant part in the game. Frankly, I find it annoying because the Wiimote, as used in this style of game, is really too small and the D-pad hurts my thumb.

I find the Wii Remote awkward for platformers as well, with games like Super Mario Bothers(NES) I still plug in the classic controller. Ideally i wanted this game to have old school game play but with some new school graphics and sound.

He just runs. And I can't say I've ever noticed any "shuffling" in NSMB DS.

So he always runs at a constant speed? If so, good.

What I meant by 'shuffling' is that when he starts to run, instead of running straight away, he'll run on the spot a bit before actually moving.
