I say one awesome band than multiple, mediocre bands. So far GH only released like 2 (Van Halen wasn't officially released, came with GH5 though) so I guess we're alrite..

a bit of variety is always good, but given the choice of a specific band focused game - say a pearl jam or foo fighters game - i'd take the one-band option
