New Play Control Reversible Covers Unboxing

Boxart fanatics were pleased to hear that the reversible covers for the Play on Wii range of remade GameCube games would be making their way to Australia. For those who are unaware, essentially Nintendo have included the "New Play Control" cover containing information about the new Wii controls on one side of the cover sheet, and the original GameCube cover, along with the title "New Play Control" and Wii logo, on the other.

All of the games in the range will feature the duel covers; however, both sides will contain the massive OFLC rating symbol that is hated with a passion among the cover art appreciating community. Check out exhibit A - New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis reversible covers below.

That's not what the original back looked like. It had a green background with all of the default players listed and a small overview of the game.

Correct, it doesn't matter if you have it on the New Play Control side or the side that's closer to the GameCube cover, they both have the same back cover.

Basically they are GameCube games with Wii Controls so literally it means play an old game with new controls.

They're presented in Widescreen now. A lot of them, like Metroid Prime, looked fantastic on the GCN in the first place and as good as most Wii games.
